Description:
The Global Village Plaza, constructed in 2010, was built with three bio-swales to manage stormwater. However, erosion caused by stormwater runoff is still a noticeable problem on its west side. We collected data to support our hypothesis that vegetation and soil could be used to collect and divert rainwater. We then submitted a design for a tiered garden at this location for the 2012 EPA Campus RainWorks Challenge.
